Museum Tour Format

The McAdam Railway Station offers guided tours in order to maximize your experience at the Museum. 

When you visit the McAdam Railway Station Museum, you will be accompanied by one of our charismatic and knowledgeable tour guides who will highlight specific themes, exhibits, and artifacts, and tell some of the Station’s most notable stories to help recreate its rich past. We hope your tour experience is entertaining, educational, and memorable.  

Tour Info

  • OFFERING PRE-BOOKED TOURS ONLY.  Please click on the calendar below, to check available tour times and to reserve your spot.  Payment for the tours will be required at the time of your tour.

  • Tour capacity is limited to 8 visitors and 1 tour guide.

  • Each tour is limited to those in your “bubble”. No tour participants from other “bubbles” will be added to your group. 

  • Only 1 person from your group is required to make a reservation.  

  • Tours will last approximately 60 minutes, after which we invite you to visit the gift shop in the main Waiting Room prior to exiting the building.

  • Entry into the building is located at the west end through the “Lunch Counter”.

  • Visitors are requested to wait outside until the start of their tour.

  • Drop-in visitors will be accommodated if possible, on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • Tours must be reserved 24 hours in advance.


Cancelation policy

  • Groups that are over 10 minutes late may be subject to the cancelation of their tour.  

  • If you are not able to make your tour time, please call the McAdam Railway Station at 506-784-3101 so we can work with you to make other arrangements.


Visitors with mobility concerns will be able to access most locations of the first floor during the guided tour; however, any visitors not able to access other areas of the tour (2nd and 3rd floors) will have the opportunity to watch a video tour of these locations during their visit. The video tour is offered in English or French.  

The McAdam Historical Restoration Commission is dedicated in providing health and safety protocols that follow the current Covid-19 guidelines in New Brunswick to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff.

  • Any person with Covid-19 symptoms will not be permitted into the building.

  • Face masks must be worn continuously while in the building.

  • Appropriate physical distancing must always be maintained.

  • Hand-sanitizing stations will be located throughout the building.

  • No food or drink is allowed in the building during guided tours.
